Studio One Eleven was challenged to develop two new bottles to revitalize Kleen-Strip, a solvent based paint clean up product that was due for a change.
For the 96oz. pack we placed the handle on a corner and gave the pack an offset neck, creating a package that’s easier to control and less "sloppy" to pour. For the 32oz., we mirrored the aesthetic of the larger pack while keeping the 38mm CR finish to maximize scale economies. Finally, a unique sleeve application was employed. Using a stop web for placement, the sleeve has die cuts in the handle area to allow the customer to "actuate" the sleeve when dispensing product.
To meet distribution and merchandising requirements we designed the new pack to be stackable and impermeable, with top load strength and permeation resistance at parity or better to the outgoing slant handled F-style. Additionally, we maximized cavitation, secondary packout, and shelf facing efficiency with ultra-efficient square footprints.
The final package is ideal for pourable products such as sauces and oils. The unique design and size allows manufacturers to offer value purchases on traditional 64oz offerings or offer price point savings to retailers and consumers for traditionally 1 gal offerings.
